his grace is an ocean

He is jealous for me
Loves like a hurricane
I am a tree
Bending beneath
The weight of his wind and mercy
When all of a sudden
I am unaware of these
Afflictions eclipsed by glory
And I realize how beautiful you are
And how great your afflictions for me

Oh how he loves us so
Oh how he loves us
How he loves us so

Yea He loves us
Oh how

We are his portion
And he is our prize
Drawn to redemption by the grace in his eyes
If grace is an ocean we're all sinking
So heaven meats earth like a sloppy wet kiss
And my heart burns violently inside of my chest
I don't have time to maintain these regrets
When I think about the way
He loves us

this song has been my vice all week.  he's grace is an ocean, and we're all sinking.  i want to sink as fast i can into our Father's grace.  how beautiful is that?  i have read crazy love and heaven is for real   in the past two days.  these books are amazing.  i am so glad that God whispered to me to read them in that specific order as well.  as i'm laying on the beach listening to waves crash and the ocean spray come across my face, i can't help but praise God for his stunning creations.

a rentless God full of an uncomprehensive love and a beautiful portrayal of heaven was the perfect supplement to basking in the sun and soaking in the fresh salt water that was created just for me.

whether you are in the presence of God's great oceans, or you're in the presence of God's great cities, take it all in and praise Him for it.

it is finishing!

so graduate school.  big deal right?  not really.  ugh...... that's my word for it.  BUT the END IS NEAR!!  last night at approximately 2:15 am i submitted my disposition portfolio.

HUGE DEAL.........well to me anyways.  and probably to the husband as well.  he's pretty excited to not hear me complain about it anymore.

only two more classes and its over :)

besides that amazing deal, the beach is calling my name and i shall arrive tomorrow!!  i can not wait to smell banana boat sunscreen and feel the sun scorching me, its a lovely thing really.  i can't wait to indulge in some fresh seafood, outlet shopping, and maybe a pairasailing trip or something else adventurous.

on another extremely happy note... my dad comes home in approximately a month!  the afghans have had him too long.  please say a prayer for him and his unit and thier safe transistion.

the excitement of a kitchen table

SO...i kinda love anything that has a story.  so needless to say when my sweet mama asked me if i wanted her kitchen table, i was THRILLED.  and thanks to the much needed rain yesterday, me and the husband got to go to the mother's!

this kitchen table has been the setting for a kazillion conversations.  laughter and tears have been shed over this table.  i am just stikin' excited about it.

also on the trip home, we got to see the the lovely mccall!  but just so you know, blake was was more excited to see the libster.

on another exciting note....the beach countdown is only 62 hours! i can not wait to lay out and indulge in some beach reading.  a book is always better on the beach.

i have much to do in a few hours, the comps are coming after me on july 11.  so i've got much to study, but i refuse to do that on the beach!

have a fantastic happy wednesday!

first and foremost...

so i'm slightly excited to start this adventure.  one of my best friends http://www.leemeandthegirls.blogspot.com/ is pretty much my inspiration for all craftiness, family adventures, and just loving life.  she has an amazing viewpoint on life, and i hope that i can display the same.

my back patio is my safe haven.  my husband has slaved away to create my little world complete with my craft room that leads to the back patio.  i love to create anything that can make me smile.  i am a teacher, so a lot of my desires lean towards the child like manner.

this is my attempt in broadening my horizons and exploring the adventures that a blog can hold.  hold on tight, my mind is like that of an ipod on shuffle...it tends to jump from adventure to adventure....
